Note: The schedule on pg. 98 of our printed guide is incorrect. This workshop is streaming virtually on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at 3PM.

In this live online workshop, youth (ages 13-24) are invited to activate our inner advocates! Whether you’re a long-time activist or thinking about your role in advocacy for the first time, this workshop will be a chance to explore. Drawing inspiration from intersex activist Pidgeon Pagonis and local 2SLGBTQIA+ community champions age 50 & up, we will explore what activism has looked like in the past and where we still need to go.

We will watch a few short films, and youth will have the chance to share their ideas for change. We will talk about how we can get to a world that truly celebrates all aspects of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Come join us as we revisit what Outgoing Artistic Director, Anoushka Ratnarajah, refers to as “tools and powers that are accessible to us in the fight for our personal and collective freedom”.

Join us on Zoom to learn, connect, and continue the fight for queer rights this Festival season.
