Board recruitment is a very thoughtful process at Out On Screen. It is about ensuring that the appropriate matrix of lived experience, representation, skills, talent, perspective, and fit are combined to serve the mandate and strategic objectives of the organization and reflect the membership they serve. The Board is committed to this ideal.

The Board self-evaluates the collective skills/talent and lived experience/representation of its members. It further reviews strategic planning goals to determine strategic gaps in its membership to serve as strategic priorities during the recruitment process.

The Board of Directors at Out On Screen operates as a governance Board. The work of the Board is focused in setting direction, making policy and strategic decisions, overseeing organizational performance, and ensuring overall accountability for the organization.
