After years away from her home and family, Artemis returns to Athens to care for her father Paris after he experiences a sudden and dramatic decline in health. The single daughter of a divorced couple and a fractured, dysfunctional family, Artemis has the responsibility of around-the-clock care for her father thrust upon her young shoulders. As she cares for her almost non-verbal parent, memories and patterns re-emerge in both of them, revealing a gap in communication and understanding that existed in Artemis’ and Paris’ relationship long before his illness. In the act of excavating her own past, Artemis finds clues to a secret of her father’s that has been haunting their relationship and is surprised to discover that their journeys to healing are bound to one another.
