A bodybuilder in rural Ohio contends with the pressures of competition, family dysfunction, and his closeted sexuality. On the surface, Eddie’s (Brock Yurich) small town life is as rock solid as the body he’s sculpted. He’s the pride and joy of his overbearing mother (Tammy Blanchard, American Sports Story). He’s a man of respect to his pastor (Matthew Morrison, Glee) and community. Behind closed doors, his cam model clientele swell with appreciation for his polished muscles while relieving his emotional stress. Eddie senses he’s on the edge of championship. He turns to an established coach to heighten his strict training regimen. Soon, the newfound attention becomes both an alluring catalyst and backbreaking performance for Eddie to achieve all that he truly wants.
Winner of the jury award for Outstanding First Narrative Feature at Frameline Festival. Yurich’s semi-autobiographical script is bolstered with emotional performances and Sam Connell’s gritty, seductive cinematography.
