Beyond SOGI 101

Beyond SOGI 101 asks participants to step into questioning and curiosity to analyze media representation and take a deeper look at 2SLGBTQIA+ lived realities through film and dialogue. Our trained facilitators support empathy building and allyship through safer space discussions and critical media analysis. This 1-2 hour presentation is for companies wanting to go beyond basic language and terminology.

If cost is a barrier, please indicate this when submitting the booking form. Presentation fees help to cover part of the costs for artist and distributer fees, facilitator fees, travel and other incidentals. Out In Schools is a non-profit initiative, which relies on donations to keep our fee structure low and the program going.

While we can always be flexible with the lengths of our workshops, they are multi-faceted and require the time to do well. We typically tailor them to your unique learning objectives in a 75-90 minute session.

Our presentations are tailored to meet your needs; we can support with language, terminology, and support students in understanding the importance of allyship with takeaways of how to turn knowledge into action. Our presentations are geared to uplift 2SLGBTQIA+ representation through film, education and dialogue. We understand that many folks are coming from different places of knowledge and experience; our skilled facilitators can support the process of bridging the gap with your students. 

Yes. Until further notice, Out In Schools is being delivered digitally over Zoom. Participants can “zoom in” from personal devices, or teachers can “zoom” us in to their classrooms!

We can present to groups of all sizes, however our digital max is 90 participants in a Zoom room.

Upon request, we can deliver a Keynote address ranging in the 45 min-60 min length.

At this time, we are taking precautions and presenting digitally. We hope to be back on the road as soon as it’s safe to be!
