Out In Celebration: Trans Youth Drop-in / Craft Night is an online drop-in space to celebrate trans, non-binary, Two Spirit, gender fluid, gender creative and diverse youth as part of Trans Week of Awareness. Led by trans youth facilitators from Out In Schools, this is a chance for youth to connect with peers and reimagine past, present, and future pride symbols!

We also have trans-affirming care packages for up to 15 participants. You will be able to opt in or out for a package when registering! In order to receive packages ahead of the event, please register by November 12.

This space is for trans, non-binary, Two Spirit, gender fluid, gender creative and diverse youth age 13-25 years in British Columbia.

This event includes two planned activities, as well as options for games, conversation, and celebration.

Using supplies from where you are, or your Out In Schools care package, make your own pride symbol, whether recreating a classic option or imagining a new one! We will talk about pride symbols past and present, and share some examples.

6PM: (Short) Film Screening & Discussion, Ur Aska

We’ll be screening the Danish animated short film Ur Aska that’s been such a joy for our team to share as part of our presentations. We’ll chat about what makes transness a gift, and recommendations for other trans shorts, films, and more.
